There will be no gymnastics classes on the October Bank Holiday weekend (Sat 29th – Mon 31st Oct inclusive).  Classes will resume on Sat 5th November 2016.

This summer we are delighted to announce that we will continue with a number of recreational classes in our Ballymount facility running for 7 weeks from Monday July 11th.  These places are limited and will be available on a first come first served basis.  The classes will be grouped by age and are open to any gymnast who is currently a member of our Saturday recreational programme.

Classes will run at the following times:

Monday:
6pm – 7pm (FULL – No Availability)

Wednesday:
6pm – 7pm (FULL – No Availability)
7pm – 8pm (FULL – No Availability)

Price will be €60 for 7 weeks starting the week of Monday July 11th and ending the week of Monday Aug 29th (there will be no class on the week of the August Bank Holiday).  We may add on a “pay as you go” option should all the places not be filled.

Please take note of the following times for dress rehearsals for all recreational gymnasts who are taking part in our big 30th Birthday display.  It is VITAL that gymnasts attend BOTH of these sessions (along with their normal class on Sat 28th Nov) in order to prepare.

• Sunday 29th November – 11am to 1pm
• Saturday 5th December – 11am to 1pm

Please also note:
Any child who is NOT taking part in the display will have their gym class on Sat 5th December from 1.30pm to 2.30pm

Some of you may have noticed that the 2015 annual events calendar has now been put up on the Gymnastics Ireland website.  This year there will be some very significant changes to the way the competition year plays out and as such it will involve an adjustment period for everyone.  The main BIG change is that from now on there will be NO REGIONAL qualifying competitions held for the levels structure.  Instead, clubs will enter gymnasts directly into national competitions which will be held in Limerick University.  At this competition they will award both National and Regional placings.  The teams competitions for levels 2-6 will no longer take place.  While the calendar has been released, there are still a number of supporting documents that are yet to be circulated to clubs, which will give us some more information.  As such, we are not fully sure just yet of the finer details.  For more information directly from the Gymnastics Ireland website, please click here.

Please note that fees are due on the first day of term. Cost per term is €60 plus an additional €20 Annual Gymnastics Ireland Registration Fee (or €10 for children aged 4)

Summer club competitions will take place on the following dates:

Competitive Groups – Sun 16th June – 9.30am
Recreational Groups – Sat 22nd June – during normal class time.
Both competitions will take place in Old Bawn Community School Hall as always.
