Old Bawn Gymnastics Club was established in 1985 initially as a Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Club (and more recently also as a Men’s Artistic Club).

Over time we have built up very successful coaching methods, always with an emphasis on our gymnasts’ well being.  Through the dedication and hard work of a number of our coaches the club now has a very solid structure in place.

Over the years gymnasts from our Women’s Artistic team have achieved success at All-Ireland Basic, Intermediate and National level.  We currently have 4 gymnasts on the Irish National Squad.

More recently we have established a Men’s Artistic Squad of 8 gymnasts who so far have already achieved success at All-Ireland Basic Level competition.  These gymnasts have also been selected onto the  Dublin Regional Boys Squad.

We have an enthusiastic team of qualified coaches who are fully committed to the development of the club.  We currently cater for approximately 200 recreational gymnasts and 50 intermediate/advanced gymnasts.

We continually aim to improve the club and have a high standard of equipment including 5 beams, asymmetric bars, single high bar, Spieth sprung tumbling floor, fast track, 6x12m carpeted floor area, full vault set up, parallel bars and various items of equipment designed for training purposes.

While we believe in having disciplined, hard-working gymnasts we also pride ourselves on maintaining very positive and encouraging coaching methods to ensure all our gymnasts are happy and most importantly that they enjoy themselves in the gym.
